One of the great things about Copper Connection (now ExpressPCB Plus) is that it automatically recognizes vias and tints them (removes the solder mask for them) based on the size of the via pad/hole. I have reduced my use of ExpressPCB for getting prototypes made from dozens of orders per year to none because of this issue. Since ExpressPCB Plus is now available, I decided to try it again. I was pleased that I could now use a .008 hole size, but I just received the boards and once again the vias are not tinted!
Will there ever be a way to modify the solder mask so I can tint vias and deliberately change the solder masks for the upper/lower layers? Without this capability I would have to get prototypes made elsewhere again. Thanks!
