Printing issues (1 reply)
The solution to the printing in the middle of the page is actually quite simple I think. After designing the board to the required measurements, I enlarged the sheet size to 8" x 11" (approx. A4 or Letter dimensions) and left the layout in the top LH corner. When I printed the bottom copper layer, it printed in the top LH corner. Subsequently I moved the layout to the lower RH corner and when I printed the copper layer it printed in the lower RH corner. I suspect that moving the layout to anywhere in that 8 x 11 sheet will make the print function printout where ever on the sheet the layout is. However the enlarging of the sheet to A4 or Letter dimensions should probably be left until after the design process is finished as manouvering around the design with the page enlarged would be a PITA.
I still don't have a proper fix for the printing of negative artwork yet. Changing the colours is probably not practical as the background always prints as transparent and the track layers in the toner colour. What is needed is the reverse of this.
Gavan.
I love this software package for its ease of use, ability to make components, etc etc. However when it comes to printing out a PCB layout this program wants to print everything in the middle of a page and moving the origin seems to reduce the size of the pcb image slightly. It also will only print positive artwork so making a negative version to use with riston is not an option thereby making the ability to make a test prototype board brather difficult.
Does anyone on the forum have any workarounds for this problem?
